Little Rhody tops Roc City in offensive affair.

ATTLEBORO – Little Rhody Hockey Club came away with the win as they opened their stay at the 2022 Sr. Chowder Cup. They defeated Roc City Elite 6-5 on Thursday morning at New England Sports Village.

Though the goal total was hefty in the end, it was a low scoring affair in the first, Rhody escaping the opening 25 minutes with just a 2-1 margin.

Returning to the ice, both offenses exploded as Little Rhody and Roc City combined for eight goals. Each side netted four, ending with Rhody rallying and then holding off Roc City for the 6-5 victory.

Little Rhody’s Thomas Johnston (1G, 2A) and Roc City’s Andrew Duval (2G, 1A) led the game in scoring with three points apiece. Rhody’s Scotty Fitz (2G) and Dylan Kulak (1G, 1A) also had multiple points in the contest.
