ATTLEBORO – Little Rhody-DMV Blue put forth a big start at New England Pro-Am’s 2021 Jr. Chowder Cup on Thursday. They defeated Florida Eels White 6-2 in ’05 division play at the New England Sports Village.
The victors got going quick, a goal by Cody Granville just 1:31 into the contest starting the assault. In told, Little Rhody was on the scoresheet thrice in the first, Mark Belcher and Luc Dionne joining Granville to make it 3-0 at halftime.
While the Eels did get themselves going with a pair of goals of their own in the second half, Little Rhody doubled up their total with another three to finish off the 6-2 victory.
John Elliopulos led the contest in scoring with two goals and an assist for Little Rhody. Jack Rothwell (1G, 1A) also posted a pair of points for the winning side, while netminder Brandon Silva brought home the win.
