FOXBORO – Little Rhody/DMV Elite opened their Elite division slate at the 35th Pre Draft Showcase with a win on Friday evening. They defeated CHE, 5-4, at the Foxboro Sports Center.
It was a tight contest from the start, with neither side able to gain a discernable advantage, just one goal separating the two sides when they broke for halftime. Little Rhody in the lead 2-1.
That one goal margin stood through the game’s duration as each side put away three goals in the second half to close out the 5-4 final.
Reid Pehrkon led the victorious offense, credited with three points on the night (1G, 2A). Pehrkon was seconded on the Little Rhody side of the scoresheet by Cameron Morin, who was also credited with multiple points (1G, 1A).
CHE also had a three-point scorer in the contest, Jeremy Schoenborn with a game-high three assists. Sacha Trudel (2G) and Braeden Begley (2A) also had multiple point game’s for CHE.
Patrick McDevitt closed things out as the game’s winning netminder.
