Late goal garners Fish Tanks the win.

ATTLEBORO – Fish Tanks opened their second day of play at the 2021 Jr. Chowder Cup with their first win of the tourney on Friday morning. They defeated Townshend Hockey Selects ’06 3-2 at the New England Sports Village.

It was a back-and-forth battle in the first half, both sides trading shots throughout. Fish Tanks taking a one-goal lead and Townshend tying it up. Happened twice, sending the game to the intermission tied 2-2.

That is where the score remained until late in the contest when Colin Smith gave Fish Tanks their third one-goal advantage of the contest with just under five minutes to play. This time there was no drawing back to even for Townshend as the game ended 3-2.

Townshend’s Hudson Woolley ended as the game’s leading scorer with a goal and an assist.
