Last second goal nets NW Huskies the win.

FOXBORO – There is still hockey to be played for them in the opening round, but the NW Huskies have been perfect at the 2018 Sr. Chowder Cup. They notched their second win in as many games on Saturday morning in defeating the Quebec Prospects 2-1 at the Foxboro Sports Center.

After a first half that saw no scoring entries, the two sides got after it quickly in the second. At 3:47 of the latter half, the game’s first goal was scored. Huskies forward Tommy Bannister had the goal off an assist credited to Stephen Panico.

The Huskies and Prospects then went into another scoring lull until there was less than three minutes on the game clock. Quebec made it 1-1 on a goal by Jesse Johnson at 22:21 of the second.

With just seconds remaining before the game went into the books as a tie, however, the Huskies were back on top. An unassisted score by Josh Waters with just 33-seconds remaining in regulation secured the 2-1 victory for the Huskies.
