WALPOLE – The 2008 division contest between the Mid Coast Maine Eagles and Boston Knights on Day 3 of the 2024 Jr. Chowder Cup went to the Knights by virtue of a 5-2 decision at Cadillac Arena in Walpole.
Boston took control of the game early. Goals from Issac Tavares and Thomas Lisy in the opening five minutes gave the Knights a 2-0 lead they took into the halftime intermission.
Mid Coast rallied in the second and brough the game back to an even 2-2 on goals from Christian Salvadori and Cam Plourde.
With time winding down in the contest, Boston’s special teams took control to set about their side’s victory. A shorthanded goal but Lisy and power play goal credited to Max Vozzella sandwiched a goal from Shane Doe over the final eight minutes of the contest to bring about the 5-2 final.
