FOXBORO – The South Shore Kings final coronation of the preliminary round at the 35th annual Pre Draft Showcase came on Saturday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center, where they defeated Mole HC National by the wide margin of 10-0.
It was a relentless attack for the Kings that wasted little time in getting started. Just minutes into the contest Josh Halliday had South Shore on the board with the first of their seven in the opening frame.
That 7-0 halftime advantage would have been enough, but the Kings put up three more in the second to round out the win. It was 10 goals in total from seven different goal scorers and 11 different Kings credited with at least a point.
Simon Parini (3G, 2A) was the game’s top point getter with five, seconded by Josh Itri (2G, 1A), who had three, while Halliday (1G, 1A), Payton Kender (1G, 1A), Duke Ehrhard (1G, 1A) and Jacob Gelman (2A) were all credited with two points.
Kings netminders Ulysse Benbassat and Jared Cobrin combined for their second shutout of the tournament in the win over Mole HC.
