CANTON – With pool play at the 2022 Women’s Chowder Cup coming to a close, Ice Works U14 and the Lady Eels played a wild one at the Canton Ice House on Saturday afternoon. In the end, it was the Eels just eeking by Ice Works 2-1.
The game was never far from even throughout. Just one goal was scored in the game’s opening half, and it went to the Eels Addison Taylart for the 1-0 lead at intermission.
In the second, it was not much different. As it was one goal in the first, it was a combined two in the second with each side getting one. Emily Shurick struck for Ice Works near the middle of the frame, while Emily Phillips was credited with the game-winner for the Eels.
