CANTON – Kicking off Day 2 of pool play at the Canton Ice House, it was Inspire Hockey posting a 5-0 shutout victory over Turner Elite Hockey.
Inspire got things going with a trifecta of goals through the middle portion of the game’s opening half. Julia Flynn, Maggie Monahan and Violet Carroll each credited with a score to make it 3-0 at the break.
Coming back to the ice, the Inspire offense dropped another pair in the second half. Another for Carroll and a score by Lindsay Stepnowski rounded out the 5-0 victory.
Netminder Julia Echavaria put up the clean sheet for Inspire.
