Hot start for Rhody Rebels, who come in with route.

ATTLEBORO – The ’07 Rhode Island Rebels made for a hot start at the 2021 Mini Chowder Cup, coming in with a 7-2 win over the Mass Avalanche on Friday at the New England Sports Village.

It was three to the start for the Rebels to the Avs one for a 3-1 lead at the break. Aidan Forcier, Cam Conley and Tucker Cobbery all on the board for the Rebels, while Luke Isaacs notched the Avalanche’s goal in the game’s first half.

A quick goal by Brady Wilson made it 3-2, but the Rebels’ offensive explosion was just around the corner as another from Forcier and one each from Mike Foley, Jaden Bourski and Joey Andreozzi put the game away.

It was a 7-2 victory for Rhode Island to start the tournament.
