BRAINTREE – The Vermont Flames made it a clean sweep of their ’10 Elite division bracket. They finished the preliminary round of the 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup a perfect 3-0-0 following an 8-2 victory over Sharks Hockey on Saturday afternoon at the Thayer Sports Center.
Vermont cruised to victory against the Sharks to secure their spot in Sunday’s tournament playoff. They took the first half by a 3-1 margin, then bettered that total in the latter half. They took the second frame 5-1 to round out the 8-2 final.
Eddie Salisbury (2G), Leo McCullough (1G, 1A), Michael Doyle (1G, 1A) and Daniel Vasko (1G, 1A) all had multiple points in the Flames victory, while Jesse Bernardinelli posted his first win of the tournament in the Vermont net.
Luke Gaudette and Jackson Gouveia were credited with the Sharks goals.
