FOXBORO – EHG closed out their preliminary round of the 2025 Jr. Chowder Cup with a win on Saturday morning. A second half rally pacing a 6-4, 2009 division win over CWE (RED) at the Foxboro Sports Center.
After the two sides traded goals in the opening part of the opening half, CWE made their move late to build a comfortable lead by the break. Goals from Theo Taylor – his second of the contest – Nicholas Alicea and Shaan Kessler down the stretch sent CWE to the locker room with a 4-1 advantage.
Undeterred, EHG got on the board first in the second on a Dean Aziz goal. The comeback was on.
Aziz’s goal was his second of three in the contest and also the first of five unanswered in the second half for EHG as they surged passed CWE to the 6-4 victory.
The CWE forward’s hattrick led the game and his team in scoring. Aziz’s performance was seconded by a goal and an assist from Josh Mosbacher.
