FOXBORO – EHG ’05 came to play from the start on Saturday at the Foxboro Sports Center as they notched their second win of the 2021 Jr. Chowder Cup. A four-goal first half pacing their 6-3 victory over the GBL Jr. Bruins.
Starting with a power play goal by Joey Mallozzi just over five minutes into the contest, EHG opened with a four-goal run to take a lead over GBL they never looked back from.
A power play goal by Stephen Boulas broke up EHG’s assault and got the Bruins on the scoreboard late in the first. Another man advantage score by Max Owens made it 4-2 early in the second. EHG came right back with a pair of their own to re-establish their four-score advantage before Owens capped off the game’s scoring with his second power play goal of the game, making it 6-3.
Owens’ two scores paced the Bruins offense, while Mallozzi led EHG and the game with three points (1G, 2A).
