Early goals lead Boston Jr. Rangers to 6-3 win over Nailers HC.

BRIDGEWATER – The Boston Jr. Rangers put home three goals in each half to take home victory, 6-3, over the Nailers Hockey Club on Saturday in Jr. A Division play in the 2022 Sr. Chowder Cup.

Svyatoslav Knyazev struck early to give the Rangers the lead in the game’s opening minutes. Cayden Miceli knotted things up for the Nailers in the game’s eighth minute, before the Rangers got additional goals from Andrew Fischer and Joe Tierney later in the first to amass Boston a 3-1 lead it took into half time.

Out of the break, Boston got two more scores in the opening minute of the second and a second of the game from Tierney near the four-minute mark of the half to extend their advantage to 6-1.

A power play goal from Christian Day stemmed the tied for the Nailers and a score from Liam Crowley brought them back to within striking distance, but the Nailers advanced no further. Netminder Brandon Fratantonio and the Boston defense shutting down any further rally by their foe for the 6-3 victory.
