CANTON – Day Two of the 2014 New England Pro-Am International Pre-Draft Showcase started with a rebound victory for Dragons Selects, who defeated Dayton Racers Blue, 4-1, on Saturday morning at the Canton Sportsplex.
Following a difficult loss to Canada West on Thursday, the Dragons came out strong, scoring three times in the first half. Chris Ramondelli notched his second of the tournament at the 3:00 mark to start the game’s scoring. Maurice Murphy and Daniel Esh also each scored in the half for the comfortable 3-0 lead at the break.
An early short handed goal by Paul Rigolini put Dayton on the board at 4:26 of the second half, but Esh put away his second of the game before the power play expired for the Dragons, reclaiming the three-goal advantage.
