ATTLEBORO – The Florida Dragons are making a strong start to their stay at the 2022 Mini Chowder Cup, coming up with their second win in two tries on Friday afternoon. They defeated Eels Prospects Black 6-3 at the New England Sports Village.
Florida came out swinging in the first half, scoring four times while keeping their foes off the scoreboard to pace their victory. Lukas Kott, Dalton Guasch, Ashton Stavish and Brady Barber each credited with a score for a 4-0 Dragons halftime lead.
The second half belonged to the Eels as they outscored the Dragons 3-2 in the frame, but it was not enough to overcome their deficit. Two goal from Cristian Paz and one from Ryan Bohnenberger accounted for the three Eels’ scores, while another from Barber and a goal by Jack Adams kept the Dragons well in front en route to their 6-3 victory.
Barber added two assists to his two goals to share the game’s lead in scoring with Kott, who had three assists to go with his first half goal.
