CANTON – At the Canton Ice House on Saturday, it was CWE Prospects Red topping Superskills Hockey 3-1 in College Open division play at the 2022 Pre-Draft Showcase.
The first half started with an even score and ended the same way as both sides notched one entry on the scoresheet in the opening frame. Jake Hines for Superskills and CWE’s Jason McKee each scored to make it 1-1 at intermission.
In the second half, the scoresheet belonged to CWE, netting a pair to secure the win. Max Chelico and Marcello Giorgi each with the tally to make it 3-1.
Chelico also had an assist to go down as the game’s lone multi-point scorer (1G, 1A). Netminder Chuck Legros nabbed the win for CWE.
