FOXBORO – It was a 5-0 shutout for Canada West Elite Prospects to open their preliminary round slate at the 2023 Pre-Draft Showcase. They took home the College Open victory over Coaches Choice on Friday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Beckett Homlish and Talon Langston kicked off the game’s scoring, each with a first half goal to give Canada West a 2-0 halftime lead.
It was a manageable deficit for their foe coming out of the break, but CWE put some real distance between themselves and Coaches Choice in the second. Samuel Anderson, Rhett Perrin and Carson Mitchell each with a score to seal the 5-0 Canada West victory.
Netminder Patrick Charette with the clean sheet for CWE. Mitchell (1G, 1A), Noah Parmenter (2A) and Cohen Haines (2A) each had multiple points in the win.
