Crows a perfect 3-0-0.

CANTON – The New England Crows completed their perfect 3-0-0 run through the opening round of the 2022 Sr. Chowder Cup and punched their ticket to the second with a win over the East Coast Kings on Saturday at the Canton Ice House. It was a 3-2 victory in Jr. A division play.

It was a win in the end, but it was not an easy one that required a comeback for the Crows.

Matthew Kursonis scored the first half’s lone goal and gave the Crows a 1-0 halftime lead. It was a lead that did not last as the Kings scored twice in the second to take over the scoreboard’s command. Brett Niland and DJ Clements credited with the scores that gave the Kings a 2-1 advantage.

The Kings lead did not last as Owen Keefe had the Crows back to even at 16:30 of the second and Kursonis had his second of the game and the game-winner just 1:30 later, putting the Crows at their final 3-2 advantage.
