WALPOLE – Hard to say it could have been a better start to the 35th Pre Draft Showcase for Canada West Elite (Black). They posted a 10-0 shutout victory over Edinger’s Edge on Friday at Cadillac Arena.
A four-goal first half paced the Canada West victory. While those four would have been enough, the Canada West offense did not slow down in the second. They rung up another six tallies in the later frame to close out the lopsided win.
Canada West’s 10 goals came from eight different goal scorers, while nine of the team’s skaters were credited with multiple points in the contest. Jonathan Rivard (2G, 1A), Jacob Kulas (2G,1A) and Alexander Benkert (1G, 2A) led that well-balanced offense with three points apiece.
