FOXBORO – Canada West Elite got off to a fine start at the 35th Pre Draft Showcase on Friday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center, posting a 5-0 shutout victory over Hockey Development 360.
It was on from the start as Canada West was dominant out of the gate, pouring in four in the game’s first frame. A pair from Frederic D’Amours and one each from Preston Lundhom and Rogie Cacciarelli did the work on the offense end of things, while netminder Ryan Henry kept the other side of the scoresheet clean for a 4-0 Canada West lead at the break.
Lundhom added another in the second for good measure, while Patrick Charette came on in place of Henry and picked right up where his batterymate left off. Charette stood with the rest of the Canada West defense in the second to preserve the 5-0 victory.
Cooper Caby (3A) finished with a game-high three points.
