Boston Knights roll to their first win.

FOXBORO – The Boston Knights proved their merit on Friday evening as they rolled to their first win of the 2018 Sr. Chowder Cup. They defeated Team Kanaly 9-0 in Jr. A division play on Friday night at the Foxboro Sports Center.

Just over 10 minutes had eclipsed before the game’s scoring began, but once it did, it seemingly did not stop until the final buzzer. Ty Amonte starting off what would eventually come an acclaimed performance with his first goal of the game at 10:09 of the first half.

Twice more the Knights would score in the first half. Amonte with his the second of the contest at 19:40 and then first round draft choice of the Philadelphia Flyers Joel Farabee just 20-seconds later for a 3-0 advantage that lasted through the half.

And if three in the first was not good enough, the Knights piled on in the second. They tripled their goal total, posting an additional six goals in the game’s final 25 minutes to more than cement the 9-0 victory.

Amonte ran away with the game’s lead in scoring, factoring in all of his team’s goals except one. The Boston University product posted a heralded eight points in the contest, credited with five goals and three assists. Also credited with multiple entries on the score sheet were Matt Quercia (1G, 2A), Domenic Vidoli (1G, 1A) and Luke Pepin (2A).

Dallas Stars prospect Jake Oettinger was credited with the shutout in the Boston Knights net.
