CANTON – With the second day of the 2026 Pre-Draft Showcase getting underway, the Boston Jr. Blues Young Guns nabbed an authoritative win for their first of the tournament. They defeated Between the Buckets (White) 7-1 at the Canton Ice House.
The Blues came out swinging, posting five of their seven goals in the game’s opening frame. Ben Pemicano scored twice, while Cole Mehne, Kris O’Korn and James Small each netted one to give the Blues a 5-0 advantage at the break.
Between the Buckets did get on the board in the second, but Cody Sexton’s power play goal came sandwiched in between a pair of Boston scores, bringing about the game’s 7-1 final.
