Blazers, Dragons play to 3-3 tie.

FOXBORO – With the opening day of play at the 2023 Women’s Chowder Cup coming to a close, the Charles River Blazers and Ice Dragon’s closed out the day’s U14 slate with a 3-3 tie on Friday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The final score ended in a tie, as did the score of each of the game’s periods. The Blazers and Dragons skating to a 1-1 draw in the first, then doubling things up with a 2-2 second period score to round out the 3-3 final.

For the Ice Dragons, it was three different goal scorers. Alexia Drouin, Caley Maxwell and Olivia Michelle Savage each credited with a goal for their side.

Bella D’Amelio did the work for the Blazers, putting away each of Charles River’s goals. Macye Thornton backed up D’Amelio’s performance as the game’s only other multiple point scorer, credited with two assists.
