Bears roar to 8-1 victory.

CANTON – The California Golden Bears continued their tear through the 2019 Bob Crocker Jr. Chowder Cup on Friday morning. They ripped through the Sharks for an 8-1 victory at the Canton Ice House.

It took some time for the assault to get started, just over 10 minutes, but from that point it became difficult to stop the Golden Bears. Miles Brodey started it off at 10:06, followed in suit by Luke Peterson, Aidan Armaly and Max Abramson to make the game 4-0, where it remained until the halftime break.

The lead was extended by another two out of the half before the Sharks finally got on the board deep into the second, but there were still two more scores to be had for the Golden Bears in the game’s final two minutes. The game ended 8-1.

Abramson netted a pair in the second to finish off a hattrick as the game’s leading goal scorer, but it was Peterson that took home the top spot with a four-point night (1G, 3A).

Brodey also went home with a three-point game (1G, 2A), while Leo Kaplan was credited with the win in the California net.
