WELLESLEY – NY Apple Core’s takedown of the Open Net Foundation on Saturday at the Wellesley Sports Center came by a score of 4-2.
Much of the game’s scoring came in the game’s first half as NY had just a narrow margin at the break. A pair of Apple Core scores from Joseph LeChase and one from Noah Scherff bested Open Net goals from Patrick Flaherty and Noah Barr, leaving it 3-2 NY after 25 minutes.
Christian Day’s goal in the second was the lone tally of the frame and gave Apple Core the insurance they needed to secure the 4-2 final.
Donovan Alfama and Dominic Saputelli split the victorious duties in the Apple Core net.
