CANTON – Tournament season is underway. New England Pro-Am Hockey’s 2023 Pre-Draft Showcase kicking off on Friday morning at the Canton Ice House with a 4-4 draw in a Jr. A matchup between Reider Hockey and Top Speed Hockey.
Top Speed jumped out to an early lead with goals by Patrick Dotson and Luc Rampert before the game was even six minutes old. Reider methodically got themselves back into the game with a goal from Connor Wray just past the midpoint of the opening half, and then took a 3-2 lead into the halftime break on a pair of late goals by Brock Burrell.
Another early strike by Top Speed – this one coming from Charlie Vincent – opened the second half and drew the score back to even.
Sean Stewart gave Reider back their one-goal advantage with his tally at 12:45 of the second half. Vincent, however, still had one more goal to score in the contest, netting his second just a minute and a half later to set the score at its 4-4 final.
