A complete, balanced performance nets Team Tampa Bay win.

BRIDGEWATER – It all came together in their third game of the 2018 Sr. Chowder Cup for Team Tampa Bay. In that game, they posted a 6-0, shutout victory over the Rice Prep Knights on Saturday at the Bridgewater Ice Arena.

Tampa put together a solid performance in the game’s first half, a pair of goals just past the midpoint of the frame setting the tone and netting a 2-0 lead through the half. Connor Nicholson at 17:06 and Josh Burke at 19:23 with the scores.

As strong as they were in the first, however, they were even better in the second half. Tampa Bay tripled their goal total with four more tallies while their defensive end remained impenetrable in securing the 6-0 victory.

It was a completely balanced attack for Tampa Bay as all six goals came from a different player and only two of the point getters in the contest had more than one entry on the score sheet: Burke (1G, 1A) and pivot Dylan Southern (2A).

Daniel McCarthy and Tyler Moschella split the shutout duties between them in the Tampa Bay net.
