67’s trump 95

BRIDGEWATER – In their first of two games on the day, the U16 Quincy 67’s got their second day of play at the 2016 Midget Fall Classic started right, posting a 5-0 shutout on the 95 Giants at Bridgewater Ice Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Forward Aidan Burke led the offensive charge for Quincy, starting the game’s scoring at 7:13. It was Burke’s first of the tournament and it gave the 67’s a 1-0 margin. A margin that grew to 3-0 as the half progressed, scores coming from Brendan Foley (17:39) and Thomas Feeney (21:02).

It was more Quincy in the latter 25-mintues, getting the scoring started early once again as Ryan Larsen netted the half’s first score at 6:30. Burke then ended the day as it began, bookending the contest’s scoring with his second goal. His final of a game-high three points (2G, 1A) solidifying the 5-0 final at 18:18 of the second half.
