46’ers put Power Play away in the second.

BRAINTREE – To open Day 2, the Adirondack 46’ers posted their second win of the 2022 Jr. Chowder Cup when they defeated Power Play Hockey Atlantic 5-3 on the ice at Thayer Academy.

The game was an even one through the first, a pair of 46’ers goals sandwiching a pair of scores from Power Play Hockey to send the game to the break tied at 2-2. Zachary Webb and Zachary LaPier each netted a goal for Adirondack. Jackson Lont and Svonte Toftgaard did the scoring for Power Play.

It was in the second that the 46’ers pulled away, netting another three in the frame, including a power play goal from Samuel Bingel. Thomas Leverett snuck one in for Power Play in the second, but for the most part the door was closed throughout the latter half by netminder Joey Mitchell to keep the score at its 5-3 final.
