Leprechauns Score First Pre-Draft Win

WALPOLE – In the first game of the day on the Olympic sheet at Rodman Arena in Walpole, the Leprechauns notched their first 2017 New England Pro Am Pre-Draft Showcase victory, posting at 3-1 score on Canada West Black Prospects.

The Leprechauns owned the score in the end, but it was Canada West on it at the start, opening up a 1-0 advantage on a shorthanded goal by Mason Kohn at 13:54 of the first half. It was a lead that lasted until the 18:23 mark when Michael Siemering combined with Andrew Pratt to draw the game back to even for the Leprechauns at 1-1.

While it took some time to get on the board in the first half, not so much in the second as the Leprechauns power play put their side ahead 2-1 just 14-seconds in. Pratt then provided the insurance tally at 14:28 of the second to bring the score to its 3-1 final.
